Raiders Training Camp

On  a crisp, clear  December morning, second through fifth grade students eagerly headed out to the upper-lelvel field for a special event. After greeting the students and going through some warm-ups, representatives from the Raiders Football organization started putting the students through their paces. Shortly after starting the work out at their first station, most students were removing their coats and hats, already having built up a sweat. Smiles and cheers were breaking out across the field. The Raiders trainers came to Grass Valley School to put on a mini-training camp for our students. These trainers emphasized getting at least 60 minutes a day of physical activity to help keep the body and mind strong. The children had a great time getting fit and having fun!

Day of Service

Kaiser Permanente and Hands on Bay Area

Grass Valley was chosen by Kaiser Permanente and Hands on Bay Area to receive a Day of Service, which involved the beautification and sprucing up of our school. The Day of Service took place on Monday, January 19th. There were over 50 volunteers who came to help. The hallways were painted a beautiful hue of yellow, the playground was given a major color boost, the staff lounge was completely remodeled and our main office was painted as well. We thank Kaiser and Hands on Bay Area for choosing Grass Valley for the beautification project.
